I would be more cautious if the generator has a complicated manual starting sequence, cannot provide a clean and compatible 120/240-volt source, or is being chosen without checking the battery and load plan. Automatic starting is not magic. It depends on the generator accepting the control signal and the entire system being configured and commissioned correctly.
